SetliXt

Getting Started

Installation

Download the latest release for your platform from the download page, then install SetliXt like any other application.

macOS

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
  2. Drag SetliXt into your Applications folder
  3. Right-click SetliXt and choose Open the first time (macOS may show an unidentified-developer warning)

Windows

  1. Run the downloaded installer
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts
  3. Launch SetliXt from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut

Linking SetliXt to Ableton Live

SetliXt communicates with Ableton Live through a Remote Script. To activate it:

  1. Place the SetliXt Remote Script folder in Ableton's MIDI Remote Scripts directory
  2. Open Live's Preferences → Link, Tempo & MIDI
  3. Choose "SetliXt" from the Control Surface dropdown
  4. Leave both Input and Output set to "None"

Building Your First Setlist

Add locators (cue points) in Ableton's Arrangement View at the start of each song. Use ** SectionName to mark sections within a song — these become selectable in the sections panel. Launch SetliXt and it will read your locators automatically.
